  • How does the service work?
We spray a solution around your home and yard to kill any adult mosquitoes currently on your property. The solution kills mosquitos on contact and has enough potency to last on surfaces for about three weeks after application. Any mosquito that attempts to feed or rest on any treated surface will die. We focus on treating in a pattern that creates a barrier around your yard and areas unique to your property where mosquitoes feed, breed or rest.
  • How long does a treatment last?
Each treatment lasts about three weeks but we treat more often—about every two weeks.
  • Does it really work?
Yes. You should notice a big difference in the mosquito population in your yard after the first treatment. No service can offer 100% protection from every mosquito but the population will be enormously reduced. And if you don’t see a reduction we will respray your yard for free.
  • How long will it take to treat my property?
Generally, it takes less than 10 minutes. So, you may might not even notice we were there.
  • When does your program begin and end?
It varies, but generally it begins in late spring and runs into the fall. You can sign up anytime and we will put you on the schedule when the season begins.
  • How frequently do you treat?
On average, we will treat every 14 days for mosquitoes and every 60 days for ticks.
  • Does the treatment wash off in the rain?
Not easily. After the product has dried (about 30 minutes) the rain does not easily wash it off. If it begins raining before your treatment has dried, and you notice a diminished effectiveness, please call us and we will retreat at no cost to you.
  • If I have my yard treated and my neighbor does not, will it still work?"
Yes! The treatment creates an invisible barrier around your property that makes your yard unattractive to mosquitoes. While a mosquito might wander into your yard and bite you (before feeding or resting on a treated surface), you will find that the spray emits a light scent that repels mosquitos and covers the scents that normally attract mosquitoes.
  • How long do I have to keep my kiddos and pets out of the yard?
For about 30 minutes. We ask that the homeowners, children, and pets stay inside for 30 minutes after treatment to allow the product to dry.
  • Do I have to be home to get a treatment?
No, we just need access to your yard. We will leave a sign in the yard every time we apply a treatment.
  • How will I know when you are coming?
We will send you an email the day before your scheduled treatment. If for some reason you need to reschedule just let us know.
  • Will the treatment disturb beneficial insects?
The treatment can affect other insects. For instance, gnats, flies and fleas that are in direct contact with the spray during application, will also be killed. However, we take care to minimize damage to other insects. We try to avoid spraying blooming plants, pollinators, garden beds and herbs. Once dry, the treatment should not impact insects that do not frequent the target surfaces. We offer all-natural pollinator safe treatments.
  • Can the treatment harm my fish?
If you have a fish pond congratulations--fish ponds are awesome. Yes, the treatment can be toxic to fish, which is why we carefully treat around ponds. Our technicians are trained to administer the solution in a way that protects your pond and your fish.
  • Will the treatment harm my vegetable garden?
All treatments are designed to be as gentle as possible but we do not spray vegetable and herb gardens. We suggest you treat any vegetables or herbs from your garden as you see fit and wash them prior to consuming.
  • Do you offer other services?
Yes, we offer an all-natural service.
  • Is there an extra charge for treating standing water or other potential breeding sites with a larvicide?
No, this is part of our service.
  • Does the all-natural treatment kill mosquitoes?
No, the all-natural treatment repels mosquitoes but does not kill them.
  • Does the all-natural treatment stink?
It does have a strong smell, but will dissipate soon after application.
