We will rid your space of mosquitos, but as gardeners we love pollinators! In conjunction with the Department of Energy and Environment Pesticides Branch we are now participating in BeeCheck®, a registry that pesticide applicators can consult before spraying. The registry connects beekeepers and pesticide applicators in the District by using precision mapping tools to help commercial applicators know where beehives are located. The program alerts pesticide applicators to sensitive areas near application sites so they can take special precautions to avoid drifting onto those areas.
